About the Role

We're looking for a passionate Data Science - Trainer to teach aspiring data professionals through two intensive training programmes. You'll transform complete beginners into job-ready analysts by teaching Python, SQL, Power BI, machine learning, and AI-augmented workflows.
This is more than teaching code, it's about developing professional analysts who think critically, communicate insights effectively, and use AI tools responsibly.

You'll deliver:

AI Data Analyst Bootcamp - 5-week intensive covering Python, SQL, data visualization, statistics, ML, and BI tools
Microsoft Power BI & Azure AI Programme - Advanced BI dashboards, DAX, and Azure AI integration
If you're an experienced data professional who loves helping others break into tech, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

Lead live 3-hour sessions (in-person or remote) with hands-on exercises and real-world case studies
Teach technical concepts clearly to learners with zero prior experience
Show students how to use AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, Power BI AI features) critically and responsibly
Review and provide detailed feedback on weekly student projects
Guide students through building professional portfolios (Git Hub, Tableau Public, Power BI)
Mentor on job preparation, CV building, and interview skills
Evaluate student work against professional standards (not just code correctness)
Provide constructive, actionable feedback within 48 hours of submission
Track student progress and identify those needing additional support
Deliver pre-designed curriculum with room to add your real-world examples
Create supplementary materials, case studies, and demos from your industry experience
Keep content current with latest AI tools and industry best practices
Suggest curriculum improvements based on student outcomes and feedback

Required Qualifications

2-3 years in data/AI roles - any of:
Data Analyst, Business Analyst, Data Engineer, BI Developer, Data Scientist, ML Engineer, or similar
0-1 years formal teaching experience (teaching, training, mentoring, or public speaking - formal or informal counts!)
Hands-on experience with messy real-world data and business stakeholder communication
Python:
Comfortable with pandas, data manipulation, and basic visualization (matplotlib/seaborn)
SQL:
Can write queries with JOINs, GROUP BY, and aggregations
Power BI:
Proficient in building dashboards, data models, and basic DAX
Data cleaning:
Real experience handling missing values, duplicates, and data quality issues
AI tools:
Active user of ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar tools in your current work
Comfortable presenting on camera and engaging remote learners
Strong written communication for project feedback

Preferred Qualifications
Nice to have, but not required:

Experience with Tableau, Looker, or other BI tools
Knowledge of Azure AI services (OpenAI, Cognitive Services)
Statistics or machine learning background
Experience teaching bootcamps, corporate training, or university courses
Microsoft certifications (Power BI PL-300, Azure AI, etc.)
Familiarity with scikit-learn, basic ML workflows
Industry-specific expertise (finance, healthcare, retail, logistics, etc.)
Experience hiring or managing junior analysts
