What will you be doing as SAP IS-U ABAP Consultant (SEW Self-Service Accelerator) @ delaware India?
As an SAP IS-U ABAP Consultant with SEW Self-Service Accelerator expertise, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and supporting digital self-service solutions for utility clients. You will work closely with business stakeholders, functional consultants, UX teams, and integration specialists to deliver scalable and user-friendly solutions that enhance customer and field service experiences.
As a member of our global technical team, you will be involved in solution design, technical assessments, development, integrations, testing, deployment, and production support across SAP IS-U landscapes. You will contribute to delivering seamless digital interactions between self-service channels and core SAP systems while ensuring performance, reliability, and security.
This role provides an excellent opportunity to work with leading SAP Utilities technologies and continuously enhance your expertise in SAP IS-U, ABAP development, integrations, and customer self-service platforms.
We are looking for the following skills in our new colleague
SAP Utilities & SEW Self-Service Expertise
Strong understanding of SAP IS-U business processes and Utilities domain.
Experience working with SAP Self Service Accelerator for Utilities (SEW).
Knowledge of customer self-service and field service self-service processes.
Understanding of digital customer engagement and utility service management processes.
Technical Development
Build, enhance, and support interfaces, APIs, extensions, and data mappings between SEW self-service components and SAP backend systems.
Develop and maintain custom ABAP objects, reports, enhancements, BADIs, user exits, and interfaces.
Translate business requirements into technical designs and ABAP deliverables.
Support technical design, development, testing, deployment, and production issue resolution.
Integration & Interfaces
Design and support secure and reliable integrations between SEW solutions and SAP IS-U.
Develop and maintain APIs, web services, IDocs, RFCs, and middleware integrations.
Ensure seamless data exchange between customer-facing channels and core SAP applications.
Troubleshoot integration issues and perform root cause analysis.
SAP IS-U Functional Exposure
Experience working with one or more of the following IS-U components:
Device Management (DM)
Customer Service (CS)
Move-In / Move-Out Processes
Meter Reading
Billing & Invoicing
Service Order Management
Field Service Processes
Support & Delivery
Analyze existing business processes and recommend technical improvements.
Provide application support, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
Collaborate with functional, UX, integration, and business teams throughout project life cycles.
Participate in system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and production support activities.
Prepare technical documentation, specifications, and knowledge transfer materials.
Required Technical Skills
Strong ABAP development experience.
Experience with Object-Oriented ABAP.
Knowledge of SAP Enhancements, BADIs, BAPIs, RFCs, IDocs, and Web Services.
Experience with OData services and SAP integration technologies is preferred.
Understanding of SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4
HANA environments.
Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in SAP Utilities implementations or AMS projects.
Hands-on experience with SEW Self-Service Accelerator implementations/support projects.
Exposure to customer portals, self-service platforms, and digital utility solutions.
Experience working in global delivery environments.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
