About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst with strong expertise in Python, PySpark, and SQL to support large-scale data analytics initiatives within the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) domain.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical capabilities, hands-on experience working with complex datasets, and the ability to translate business requirements into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making.
Professionals currently working as Data Engineers and looking to transition into a Data Analyst role are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyze and interpret large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and business opportunities.
• Develop and optimize data processing workflows using Python and PySpark.
• Write and maintain complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand analytical requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
• Design and develop reports, dashboards, and analytical models to support business objectives.
• Ensure data quality, accuracy, consistency, and governance across datasets.
• Present analytical findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Support strategic initiatives through advanced data analysis and insights generation.
Required Skills & Experience
Mandatory Skills
• 6+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, or related fields.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python.
• Extensive experience with PySpark for large-scale data processing.
• Advanced SQL expertise, including complex query development and performance optimization.
• Mandatory experience in Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) domain.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
• Experience working with large-scale enterprise data environments.
• Ability to effectively engage with business and technology stakeholders.
Preferred Background
• Experience in data warehousing, ETL, and data pipeline development.
• Prior experience supporting analytics initiatives within banking, financial services, or insurance organizations.
• Data Engineers interested in moving into an analytics-focused role are welcome.
