Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Shopify Developer to own and enhance our D2C Shopify ecosystem. This role is ideal for a developer who enjoys solving complex business challenges through technology and is passionate about building high-performing ecommerce experiences.

You will work closely with marketing, design, and growth teams to develop, optimize, and scale Shopify storefronts that drive customer acquisition, engagement, and conversion.

This is a hands-on development role requiring strong technical expertise in Shopify architecture, custom theme development, performance optimization, and third-party integrations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Create custom sections, blocks, templates, and theme settings within Shopify Online Store 2.0.
- Build and optimize product pages, landing pages, collection pages, and marketing campaign experiences.
- Improve website speed, Core Web Vitals, mobile responsiveness, and overall storefront performance.
- Implement and manage Shopify app integrations, APIs, webhooks, and third-party platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Support technical SEO implementation, analytics tracking, QA testing, and continuous site enhancements.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and proactively recommend improvements that enhance user experience and conversion rates.
- Maintain clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
- Manage code deployment processes using Git and version control systems.

Required

Skills & Experience:

Technical Expertise

- Strong hands-on experience with Shopify theme development and Shopify Liquid.
- Deep understanding of Shopify Online Store 2.0 architecture.
- Advanced proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive web development.
- Experience optimizing website performance and Core Web Vitals.
- Strong knowledge of Shopify APIs, webhooks, app integrations, and ecommerce workflows.

- Experience with Git and modern version control practices.

Professional

Experience:

- 4–6 years of web development experience with significant Shopify development expertise.
- Proven track record of delivering and optimizing live Shopify storefronts.
- Ability to independently manage projects from requirements gathering through deployment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience building custom Shopify applications.
- Familiarity with React, Next.js, or modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Basic backend development experience using Node.js or similar technologies.

- Experience with Shopify checkout customization.
- Exposure to subscription, loyalty, bundle, upsell, and retention-focused ecommerce ecosystems.
- Prior experience working with D2C, consumer brands, or high-growth ecommerce businesses.

Educational

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
