3. Dev Ops & Platform Engineering Strategy
Drive technical direction across:
CI/CD tooling (e.g., Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, Git Lab CI, ArgoCD)
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, etc.)
Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
Improve
deployment frequency, lead time, and failure recovery metrics
Identify and eliminate bottlenecks in the software delivery lifecycle
4. Reliability, Operations & Incident Management
Ensure strong operational practices:
Monitoring, alerting, and observability
Incident response and postmortem processes
Improve platform stability and reduce operational overhead through automation
Champion SRE principles such as
error budgets and reliability engineering
5. Stakeholder Collaboration (Platform Mindset)
Work closely with internal engineering teams to understand platform pain points
Prioritize roadmap initiatives based on
engineering impact and efficiency gains
Communicate trade-offs, risks, and progress clearly to stakeholders
Balance
short-term delivery needs with long-term platform scalability
6. Cost & Efficiency Optimization
Manage infrastructure costs related to CI/CD workloads
Drive initiatives to improve compute utilization and reduce waste
Evaluate and adopt tools that improve efficiency without increasing complexity
Required Experience
5+ years in software engineering / platform / Dev Ops roles
2+ years of engineering management experience , including:
Team leadership
Performance management
Hiring and mentoring
Hands-on experience with:
CI/CD systems (Jenkins, Git Lab CI, Git Hub Actions, etc.)
Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Kubernetes and containerized environments
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or equivalent)
Strong experience in:
Production operations and incident management
Building and maintaining internal platforms or developer tooling
Proven ability to
