About the role.
Are you a seasoned infrastructure professional who thrives at the intersection of technical depth and people leadership? We're looking for someone to anchor an engineering team. A hands-on leader who can mentor the next generation of engineers while collaborating with senior teams across the globe to ship world-class technical products.
This isn't a siloed role. You'll work across the full infrastructure spectrum — Linux, Windows, virtualisation, cloud architecture, Kubernetes, networking, Citrix, and information security — bringing both breadth and curiosity to every challenge. As our technology landscape evolves rapidly, you'll help shape how we work, not just what we build.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate a growing team of Infrastructure engineers across multiple technical domains, acting as the primary escalation point for complex infrastructure issues and root cause analysis
Bridge global and local teams — cascading organisational developments and ensuring the team always has access to best-in-class tools and technologies
Architect, engineer, and support enterprise Linux environments (Red Hat preferred) in multi-user, multi-server setups with centralised authentication (Active Directory/LDAP)
Automate system administration tasks using Bash, Python, and Ansible — and actively drive a culture of automation across the team
Champion AI and LLM tooling for code generation, documentation, troubleshooting, and automation, demonstrating practical use cases to engineers and stakeholders across the firm
What We're Looking For
Proven player-coach leadership — able to mentor junior engineers while staying technically hands-on with a diverse infrastructure team
Solid experience architecting and managing networked Linux environments at scale (Red Hat expertise a strong plus)
Strong scripting and automation skills across Bash, Python, and Ansible
Broad infrastructure fluency across Linux, Windows, virtualisation, cloud, Kubernetes, networking, Citrix, and security
AI-forward mindset — curious, proactive, and able to lead adoption of emerging tools across the organisation
This is a 12 months contract for one of our clients
