Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

About the Role
We are looking for a  Senior QA Engineer  who is highly detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about delivering high-quality software. In this role, you will take ownership of the QA process, mentor junior testers, and work closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure our web and mobile applications meet the highest quality standards.
You will play a key role in defining QA strategies, improving processes, and driving quality across enterprise-grade products in a fast-paced startup environment.

Key Responsibilities
Analyse business requirements, user stories, and technical specifications independently.
Design, develop, and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
Lead  functional, regression, integration, and system testing  efforts.
Perform  end-to-end testing  across web and mobile applications.
Conduct  exploratory testing  to uncover edge cases and usability issues.
Identify, document, prioritise, and track defects using tools like  Jira  or  Azure Dev Ops .
Work closely with developers to debug issues and ensure timely resolution.
Validate bug fixes and support  release sign-off  activities.
Drive  test coverage improvements  and ensure high product quality standards.
Participate actively in  Agile ceremonies  (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve QA processes and workflows.

Act as a  QA point of contact  for projects/features.
Drive  quality initiatives , best practices, and continuous improvement.
Ensure adherence to QA standards, processes, and documentation.

Required Skills & Experience
4–7 years  of experience in software testing (manual or hybrid).
Strong experience in  manual testing of web and mobile applications .
Solid understanding of:
Test case design techniques
Defect lifecycle
SDLC & STLC
Hands-on experience with  Agile/Scrum methodologies .
Proficiency in bug tracking tools like  Jira ,  Azure Dev Ops , etc.
Experience in  API testing  using tools like  Postman .
Strong knowledge of  cross-browser and cross-device testing .
Experience working with modern tech stacks (e.g.,  Flutter, Django, React, etc. ).
Nice to Have
Basic to intermediate experience in  test automation  (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.).
Experience in  mobile app testing  (Android/iOS).
Knowledge of  SQL  for backend/data validation.
Exposure to:
Performance testing
Security testing
Usability testing
Experience working in a  startup or fast-paced environment .
