Job Summary
We are looking for a highly motivated and proactive SAP BASIS Consultant with 4–6 years of hands-on experience in SAP administration and support. The ideal candidate should be a smart worker who can independently manage SAP landscapes, take end-to-end ownership of assigned tasks, and thrive in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
The candidate should possess strong technical expertise across SAP BASIS administration, SAP HANA, SAP RISE environments, performance tuning, troubleshooting, migrations, and SAP landscape management.
Key Responsibilities
SAP System Administration & Monitoring
Perform daily SAP system health checks and proactive monitoring.
Monitor SAP Application Servers, Databases, Background Jobs, Work Processes, Interfaces, Dumps, Locks, Updates, and System Logs.
Ensure high system availability and optimal performance across SAP landscapes.
Proactively identify and mitigate system risks before business impact.
Performance Tuning & Optimization
Strong expertise in SAP and SAP HANA performance tuning.
Analyze and resolve application slowness and performance bottlenecks.
Perform workload analysis and optimization using SAP standard tools.
Troubleshoot and resolve database and application performance issues.
Installation, Upgrades & Patching
Perform SAP system installations and post-installation activities.
Execute SAP Kernel Upgrades and periodic patching activities.
Implement SAP Notes and Support Packages.
Support system refreshes, client copies, and landscape maintenance activities.
SAP RISE & Cloud Operations
Mandatory hands-on experience supporting SAP RISE landscapes.
Manage and coordinate SAP RISE operational activities.
Work closely with SAP and infrastructure teams for issue resolution and landscape maintenance.
Migration & Transformation Support
Participate in SAP migration and transformation projects.
Support system migration, upgrade, and conversion activities.
Understanding of SAP S/4
HANA migration methodologies is preferred.
Troubleshooting & Incident Resolution
Independently troubleshoot complex SAP BASIS issues.
Resolve system performance issues.
Resolve spool management issues.
Resolve lock and update failures.
Resolve background job failures.
Resolve transport-related issues.
Resolve connectivity and interface issues.
Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
SAP HANA Administration
Strong hands-on experience in SAP HANA administration.
HANA Performance Monitoring and Tuning.
HANA Table partioning
HANA Troubleshooting and Incident Resolution.
Backup, Recovery, and Database Health Monitoring.
SAP Technical Components
Hands-on experience with SAP DMS (Document Management System).
Hands-on experience with SAP SLT (SAP Landscape Transformation).
SAP Early Watch Alert (EWA) analysis and issue resolution.
SAP Notes implementation and SAP recommendation remediation.
Database Administration
Hands-on experience in SAP HANA Database Administration.
Hands-on experience in SAP ASE Database Administration.
Hands-on experience in SAP MaxDB Administration.
Database monitoring, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and maintenance.
Required Skills
Mandatory Skills
4–6 years of SAP BASIS Administration experience.
Strong hands-on experience in SAP RISE environments.
Excellent SAP HANA troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
Experience in SAP installations, upgrades, and migrations.
Kernel upgrades and periodic patching experience.
SAP Notes implementation experience.
Strong troubleshooting skills for slowness and performance issues.
Experience in resolving spool issues.
Experience in resolving lock and update issues.
Experience in resolving background job issues.
SAP Early Watch Alert (EWA) issue resolution experience.
Hands-on experience with SAP DMS and SAP SLT.
Experience working on HANA, ASE, and MaxDB databases.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of SAP S/4
HANA administration.
Exposure to SAP Cloud and Hybrid landscapes.
