Position Specifications

Experience:

3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within the finance domain

Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, MBA, or equivalent professional certification
Skill Set:
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros)
Strong SQL knowledge for data extraction and analysis

Experience with BI & visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented  Business Analyst  to join the Finance team. The role involves bridging the gap between business requirements and technical solutions, enabling data-driven decision-making and driving process improvements across financial operations.

Key Responsibilities
1. Requirements Gathering & Documentation
Collaborate with finance stakeholders (Regulatory Reporting, MI/CMA, Treasury, Tax) to gather and understand business requirements
Document functional and non-functional requirements using industry-standard formats
Prepare detailed Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and functional specifications
Develop use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria
2. Process Analysis & Optimization
Map current (as-is) business processes using BPMN diagrams or flowcharts
Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and process gaps
Design future (to-be) processes with measurable improvements
Conduct gap analysis between current and target states
Develop and maintain process documentation, including SOPs
3. Data Management & Governance
Establish and enforce data quality standards and validation rules
Create and maintain data dictionaries and metadata documentation
Perform data reconciliation and root cause analysis for discrepancies
4. Stakeholder Collaboration
Partner with cross-functional teams and business units on projects
Facilitate workshops and requirement-gathering sessions
Present insights, findings, and recommendations to finance leadership
Train end-users on new systems, processes, and reporting tools
Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance
5. Project Management
Lead or contribute to finance transformation initiatives
Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies
Track milestones, deliverables, and budgets
Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks and issues
Report project progress to steering committees
