The purpose of this position is to lead, manage, and align multiple global teams of technical writing, digital training, and marketing communications staff who are responsible for the creation of documentation for GVR’s Convenience Retail Business and Alternative Fuel products. This position owns both the global functional technology and functional process strategy to drive standardization, efficiency, and team development to meet the needs of the business unit.
Key Responsibilities
Direct Product Documentation Resources for GVR, IBGVR, and ALT Fuels Products
Manage global teams located in India, US, Israel and Germany
Drive roadmap to bring expertise in the latest technologies to enable document creation, workflow management, document storage, publishing, and translation
Drive simplification and standardization globally across the function
Deliver technical writing and editing for computer based systems, software, and hardware
Determine effective structure and layout for highly complex documentation
Conduct research and liaising with technical staff to ensure accurate interpretation of complex data, drawings, and specifications
Ensure appropriate technical content and terminology review occurs and provisions are made for the incorporation of updates and revisions
Deliver technical publication needs for projects and business on time with quality
Drive efficiency and skills development across the global teams
Collaborate with subject matter experts and PMO team to drive speed to market
Provide support for production & service manual needs
Collaborate with engineering, product management and service team to drive product needs
Own and drive talent management for reports to ensure career development and succession planning
Interact with GVR's change tracking process
Manage global resource allocation for the current and upcoming pipeline of work from across the different business units
III. Additional Responsibilities
Creation of courses/product trainings for customers in HGM (High-growth Markets)
Identify the customer requirements for creating web-based training
Work with the team to develop a storyboard for the required courses using instructional design principles
Collaborate with the customer training teams for developing the content
Support the team for course creation, cross-functional team reviews, and course deployment on SABA
Drive simplification and standardization of processes
Tool knowledge:
Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, Text to speech converters
Manage the user management of SABA training portal for the HGM customers
Support regional teams with creating new users in the SABA portal and assigning courses to these users
Work with the NA Training team to establish processes and developing subject matter expertise of the SABA portal
Reporting metrics for course assigned and taken to the product cross-functional teams.

Support Service teams with the creation of Service Bulletins for HGM
Support the creation of service bulletins for product/service teams
Publish service bulletins to customers
Drive the standardization of processes and templates for creating service bulletins

Manage Marketing Communications for GVR India
Manage the creation and reviews of marketing collateral, such as product brochures, pricelist, datasheets, product videos and mailer campaigns for GVR India
Manage the publishing to social media
Act as a bridge between the product management team and Techcomm team for product communications.
Publish a quarterly newsletter for sharing product updates with customers
Tool Knowledge:
Hubspot, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop
IV. Relationships
Position reports directly to the VP Global PMO & Tech Pubs
Position interacts with the Engineering project teams and Product Management for creating technical documentation. Also, interacts with Training and Service team and other internal stakeholders.
V. Background and Skill
Experience managing technical communications teams
Graduate/Post-graduate with certifications in technical writing, preferred or equivalent work experience
Expertise in written English and editorial reviews
People and work management skills, good communication skills
Experience interacting with cross-functional teams
