Blue Yonder WMS Functional Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Blue Yonder WMS Functional Consultant with strong expertise in Discrete WMS (2022/2023) to lead and support end-to-end warehouse management system implementations. The role focuses on translating business requirements into scalable WMS solutions while driving operational efficiency across warehouse processes.

- Key Responsibilities
1. End-to-End Implementation Delivery

· Lead full lifecycle implementation of Blue Yonder WMS (Discrete 2022/2023), including:
o Solution design and configuration
o Functional & integration testing
o User training and documentation
o Cutover planning and go-live execution
o Hypercare and post-go-live stabilization

· Ensure adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and client expectations.

- 2. Business Requirements & Solution Design

· Collaborate with business stakeholders to:
o Gather and analyze warehouse and logistics requirements
o Translate business needs into functional specifications and system configurations

· Conduct process mapping (As-Is / To-Be) and identify optimization opportunities

· Provide solution recommendations aligned with industry best practices

- 3. Warehouse Functional Configuration

· Configure and optimize core WMS modules, including:
o Inbound Operations (Receiving, Putaway, ASN processing)
o Outbound Operations (Picking, Packing, Shipping)
o Inventory Management (Cycle counting, replenishment, slotting)
o Warehouse Operations (Task management, labor tracking)

· Ensure system configurations support scalable and efficient warehouse processes

- 4. Integration & Cross-Functional Collaboration

· Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders:
o Operations teams
o IT teams
o Logistics and supply chain teams

· Support integration with upstream/downstream systems such as:
o ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
o TMS (Transportation Management Systems)
o Other enterprise supply chain platforms

· Participate in integration design, testing, and issue resolution

- 5. Process Automation & Optimization

· Design and implement:
o Workflow automation to improve operational efficiency
o System-driven task optimization and execution strategies

· Identify improvement areas to drive:
o Productivity gains
o Cycle time reduction
o Accuracy improvements

- 6. Testing & Quality Assurance

· Lead and support:
o SIT (System Integration Testing)
o UAT (User Acceptance Testing)

· Validate configurations against business requirements

· Track and resolve defects to ensure system stability

- 7. Post-Go-Live Support & Continuous Improvement

· Provide hypercare support post deployment

· Troubleshoot system issues and recommend fixes

· Drive continuous improvements in warehouse processes and system usage

- Nice-to-Have Skills

· Experience with:
o WMS upgrades and version migrations
o System performance tuning and optimization

· Exposure to automation technologies (e.g., robotics integration, RF devices, voice picking)

· Knowledge of warehouse KPIs and analytics

- Required Qualifications
Experience

· 5+ years of experience in Warehouse Management Systems

· Proven track record in Blue Yonder WMS Discrete (2022/2023) implementations

· Experience in at least 1–2 end-to-end WMS implementations

- Technical & Functional Skills

· Strong knowledge of:
o Warehouse operations and logistics processes
o Blue Yonder WMS configuration and modules

· Experience with system integrations (ERP, TMS, APIs)

· Understanding of SQL / data structures (preferred)
