Pre-Sales Engineer – Cloud & Infrastructure

We are looking for a Pre-Sales Engineer to join our Cloud & Infrastructure team and work closely with customers, sales teams, and technology partners across India, US, and Canada.
This role is ideal for a technically strong pre-sales professional who enjoys understanding customer environments, performing workload assessments, sizing cloud and private-cloud solutions, and converting technical requirements into solution architectures, proposals, RFP responses, and commercial estimates.
You will work across AWS, Azure, VMware, Open Stack, Disaster Recovery, Networking, and Managed Services, with opportunities to engage directly with customers and technology partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess customer workloads and infrastructure using tools such as RVTools, Live Optics, Turbonomic, Azure Migrate, AWS Cost Explorer, or similar platforms.

• Design and size public, private, and hybrid cloud solutions across AWS, Azure, VMware, and Open Stack.

• Develop workload sizing, capacity plans, migration approaches, and cloud cost estimates.

• Design backup and disaster recovery solutions, including RPO/RTO-based architectures using Veeam, Zerto, or similar technologies.

• Support infrastructure and edge-networking solutions, including firewalls, SD-WAN, VPN, segmentation, and security architectures.

• Prepare RFP/RFQ responses, technical proposals, solution designs, BOM/BOQ, and pricing estimates.

• Conduct customer presentations, technical discussions, solution workshops, PoCs, and demonstrations.

• Work with sales teams and technology partners to develop the right technical and commercial solution for customers.

• Translate complex technical requirements into clear business value and customer outcomes.
Must Have

• 3+ years of experience in Pre-Sales, Solution Architecture, Technical Consulting, or a similar customer-facing technical role.

• Experience working with an MSP, CSP, system integrator, or technology services organization.

• Strong understanding of public/private/hybrid cloud infrastructure.

• Hands-on experience with one or more of AWS, Azure, VMware, or Open Stack.

• Experience with workload sizing, capacity planning, infrastructure assessment, or cloud migration.

• Strong experience preparing RFP/RFQ responses, technical proposals, solution designs, and pricing/BOM/BOQ.

• Excellent customer-facing communication and presentation skills.

Good to Have

• Experience with Veeam or Zerto.

• Experience with RVTools, Live Optics, Turbonomic, Azure Migrate, Cloud Health, AWS Cost Explorer, or similar assessment/costing tools.

• Knowledge of networking, firewalls, SD-WAN, VPN, and security architecture.

• Experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, or Fortinet.

• Experience with managed services and cloud migration projects.
