Sunbird DCIM / Data Center Operations Specialist

About the Role
Join our team as a Sunbird DCIM / Data Center Operations Specialist supporting secure, scalable systems that process critical patient records and enable telemedicine solutions. You will oversee the administration, capacity, and operational efficiency of enterprise data center infrastructure while ensuring continuous uptime and strict compliance.
Key Responsibilities
DCIM Platform Administration: Administer, configure, patch, upgrade, and maintain the Sunbird DCIM platform across enterprise environments. Perform backup and recovery procedures as needed.
Asset & Capacity Management: Manage full asset life cycles, rack elevations, power/cable connectivity, and capacity planning within Sunbird DCIM.
Infrastructure & Environmental Monitoring: Configure dashboards, reports, alerts, and policies to monitor power distribution, cooling efficiency, environmental controls, and overall infrastructure health.
System Integrations: Integrate Sunbird DCIM with BMS, EMS, NMS, ITSM, and external monitoring platforms.
Operations & Compliance Support: Assist with data center migrations, consolidations, capacity planning, audit readiness, and compliance reporting.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with facilities, network, IT infrastructure, and operations teams to resolve platform issues, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and optimize data center performance.
Job Requirements
Experience:
5–8 years of overall IT/Data Center experience, with at least 3+ years of direct, hands-on experience managing Sunbird DCIM.
Data Center
Infrastructure: Deep understanding of data center concepts, power distribution (UPS, PDU), cooling systems (CRAC/CRAH), and environmental monitoring.
Protocols & OS: Proficiency with monitoring protocols (SNMP, Modbus, BACnet) and basic system knowledge of Windows and Linux server environments.
Process Knowledge: Strong background in change management, asset lifecycle tracking, rack/cable management, and IT operations.
Analytical
Skills:
Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance optimization capabilities.
Qualifications & Certifications
Education:
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
Certifications (Preferred):
Sunbird DCIM Certification
ITIL Foundation Certification
Data Center Operations Certification
CDCP / CDCS (Certified Data Center Professional/Specialist) or equivalent
Soft Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication, team collaboration, technical documentation, and proactive knowledge sharing.
