Position: Senior SAP S/4HANA Revenue Recognition / Finance Functional Consultant
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced  SAP S/4

HANA Finance Functional Consultant  with a strong background in  accounting, revenue recognition, and financial processes  to support SAP S/4

HANA initiatives.
The ideal candidate will combine deep knowledge of  accounting and revenue recognition principles  with hands-on SAP functional experience. This is a  functional finance role , not a software engineering or ABAP development position.
The consultant will work closely with Finance, Accounting, and business stakeholders to translate financial requirements into SAP S/4

HANA solutions, with a particular focus on  revenue recognition and reporting .

Key Responsibilities
Serve as a functional subject matter expert for  SAP S/4

HANA Finance  and revenue recognition processes.
Analyze business and accounting requirements and translate them into SAP functional solutions.
Support the design, configuration, testing, and implementation of revenue recognition processes.
Work with Finance and Accounting teams to understand revenue recognition requirements and business processes.
Support  SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR)  functionality, where applicable.
Evaluate revenue contracts, performance obligations, revenue allocation, and recognition requirements.
Support compliance with  ASC 606 and/or IFRS 15  revenue recognition standards.
Work with General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Controlling, and other Finance functions as needed.
Participate in requirements gathering, process design, functional specifications, testing, and deployment.
Work with technical teams to communicate functional requirements and validate technical solutions.
Troubleshoot functional issues and identify opportunities to improve financial processes.
Support data conversion, integration, testing, and production deployment activities.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, SAP teams, and project leadership throughout the implementation lifecycle.

Required Qualifications
8–12+ years of SAP Finance/SAP functional experience.
Strong understanding of  accounting and financial processes .
Hands-on experience with  SAP S/4

HANA Finance .
Strong experience with  revenue recognition .

Experience with  SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR)  strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of  ASC 606 and/or IFRS 15 .

Experience with General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, and financial reporting.
Experience gathering requirements and translating business requirements into SAP functional solutions.
Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with Finance and Accounting stakeholders.
Experience participating in SAP implementations, upgrades, or transformation projects.

Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience working directly in  Accounting or Finance  before transitioning into SAP consulting.

Experience with complex revenue models and contract structures.
Experience integrating RAR with other SAP Finance processes.

Experience with SAP S/4

HANA transformation or ECC-to-S/4

HANA migration.
Experience in a large enterprise environment.
Experience working with U.S.

-based Finance and Accounting teams.
