Trana is an offensive security firm that helps companies find and fix vulnerabilities before attackers do. We deliver penetration testing across web applications, mobile applications, APIs, cloud infrastructure, networks, AI systems and IoT devices. We work with clients across the worlds, spanning the US, Europe, the Middle East, Australia and Asia.
About the role
We are looking for a Project Manager to own our penetration testing delivery end to end. You will be the single point of contact for clients from signature through to final report, and the person holding the thread across multiple parallel engagements and timezones.
The role also covers our internal security research projects. You will keep that work moving on defined timelines alongside client delivery, coordinating researchers, tracking disclosure deadlines, and managing the publication of findings.
Responsibilities
Scoping:
Work with clients to define engagement scope, including application count, user roles, environments, and testing approach. Translate broad requirements into a defined number of testing days.
Scheduling and resourcing:
Allocate the right tester to each engagement across our team and maintain the delivery calendar.
Engagement management:
Run kickoff calls, verify credentials and environment access before testing begins, provide regular status updates to clients, and escalate critical findings immediately rather than holding them for the report.
Report review:
Review every penetration testing report before delivery. Verify that findings are reproducible, severity ratings are appropriate, remediation guidance is actionable, and the report reads clearly for both technical and executive audiences.
Retests and closure:
Track client remediation progress, schedule retests, and issue final attestation letters.
Internal research:
Coordinate our internal security research projects
Operations:
Maintain trackers and documentation, support proposal preparation, and manage day to day delivery operations.
Requirements
1 to 3 years of experience in project coordination or delivery management, preferably within cybersecurity or technical services
Working knowledge of penetration testing workflows and terminology. You will not be performing testing, but you should understand findings such as broken access control, IDOR, SSRF and injection vulnerabilities when reviewing reports
Excellent written and verbal English, with the confidence to communicate directly with CTOs and security leads
Strong organisational skills across parallel engagements and multiple timezones
Ability to take ownership of outcomes rather than relaying information between parties
Compensation and joining
