Position Title:

Privacy & Information Security Specialist

Reporting To:  Data Protection Officer (DPO)

Role Overview :
The role will support the DPO in implementing and managing the organisation’s privacy, data protection, and information security requirements in accordance with DPDPA 2023, applicable Rules, and relevant regulatory and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the DPO in DPDPA implementation and ongoing compliance activities.
Maintain the personal data inventory, data flows and processing records.
Support DPIAs/PIAs, privacy risk assessments and gap assessments.
Assist with privacy notices, consent management and Data Principal rights.
Support privacy assessments of vendors and Data Processors, including review of DPAs and relevant contractual requirements.
Support personal data breach management and incident reporting.
Coordinate with IT, Information Security, Legal, Compliance, HR and business teams on privacy-related requirements.
Assist in preparing policies, procedures, management reports and training/awareness material.

Experience & Skills

3–4 years of experience in Data Privacy, DPDPA/GDPR, GRC, Information Security or Regulatory Compliance.
Strong understanding of DPDPA 2023, applicable Rules, privacy principles, and data protection laws, regulations, and legal requirements.
Hands-on experience in privacy and information security governance, risk management, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
Good communication, documentation and stakeholder management skills.
Experience in BFSI / Asset Management / Financial Services will be preferred.

Eligibility
B.Tech / B.E. (Computer Science / IT) is mandatory
Certifications like CIPP / CIPM, DSCI Certified Privacy Professional (DCPP), DPDPA, ISO 27701, or ISO 27001 certifications preferred
