Senior User Experience Designer

The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio and proven track record of applying interaction design principles, user psychology, and accessibility standards to create engaging, world-class, web-based interfaces, and most importantly, someone who gets excited helping innovate and design new platforms from an initial development stage. This is a hands-on individual contributor role where you will partner with Product Management and Engineering to create a UI/UX for our client's no-code platform.

Competencies

Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate with our clients in the US.
7+ years experience designing UI and UX for web-based SaaS platforms.
Strong portfolio showcasing design work on authoring environments, design tools, developer platforms, or no-code/low-code systems.
Deep understanding of interaction design, user psychology, and responsive design.
Experience building and managing scalable Design Systems with tokens, components, and documentation.
Strong hands-on experience with Flutter is required.
Working knowledge of the Material Design and Metal Design systems strongly desired.
Hands-on experience with the latest technologies used to build rich web, desktop, and mobile apps (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, React).
Solid grasp of accessibility standards and how to apply them in real-world applications (WCAG, ARIA, etc.).
Expertise with Figma, Sketch, Adobe CS, or In Vision
High attention to detail in planning, managing, and producing design deliverables.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate design decisions.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup environment with iterative design and development cycles.
Enjoys being part of a small team with a big mission.
Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills to coordinate and facilitate activities with colleagues.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, can multi-task, and have good verbal and written communication skills.
Bachelor's degree in a Business Management, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Design functional and elegant user interfaces and experiences for our client's web-based no-code platform.
Partner closely with Product Management and Engineering to understand new capabilities, contribute to functional requirements, and create solutions.
Translate complex user workflows into intuitive interaction models and visual designs.
Create detailed UI mockups, prototypes, and design specs for implementation in Flutter.
Create engineering-ready delivery assets following the Agile development process.
Define and evolve the company’s visual language, including typography, color, iconography, illustration, and layout.
Create brand guidelines for internal and external use.
Lead the definition and implementation of accessibility standards across the platform.
Design marketing visuals, social graphics, product mock-ups, and other assets.
Provide creative direction on photo, video, and illustrations.
