Role Description

This is a remote, contract-based role for a Freelance Translator. The primary responsibilities include translating written and verbal content accurately between assigned languages, ensuring cultural and contextual relevance. The Translator will conduct research to maintain the authenticity of translations, proofread translated content for quality, and collaborate with internal teams to meet project deadlines and requirements.

Qualifications

Fluency in at least two languages, with strong ability in both written and verbal communication
Skilled in translation accuracy, cultural adaptation, and linguistic context consideration
Experience in proofreading and editing to maintain high-quality translations
Research and terminology management skills to ensure accurate and consistent translations
Knowledge or experience in technical, legal, or industry-specific terminology is a plus
Strong time management and ability to meet tight deadlines
Proficiency in translation software or CAT tools is advantageous
Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field is preferred
