Manager – Demand Planning & Supply Chain Management (DP & SCM)
Reporting To:  Head – Supply Chain

Position Summary
Manager – Demand Planning & SCM will be responsible for leading demand forecasting, inventory planning, replenishment, and import coordination to ensure optimum product availability while minimizing excess inventory and working capital. The role requires close collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Procurement, Logistics, and overseas suppliers.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in demand planning, forecasting, inventory management, and import operations, combined with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
Demand Planning & Forecasting (Primary Responsibility)
Develop and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual demand forecasts at SKU and channel levels.
Analyze historical sales trends, seasonality, promotions, launches, and market dynamics to improve forecast accuracy.
Lead the Demand Planning process and participate in S&OP meetings.
Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams to capture business assumptions and market intelligence.
Monitor forecast accuracy and implement corrective actions to improve planning effectiveness.
Generate demand planning reports, inventory projections, and replenishment recommendations.
Inventory & Supply Planning
Ensure optimum inventory levels across warehouses and distribution channels.
Balance stock availability while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
Develop replenishment plans based on forecasted demand and lead times.
Monitor inventory health, slow-moving stock, stock-outs, and ageing inventory.
Support working capital optimization initiatives.
Import & International Supply Chain Management
Manage import planning and coordination with international suppliers.
Monitor purchase orders, production schedules, and shipment timelines.
Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics partners.
Ensure timely availability of import documentation and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Track inbound shipments and proactively address delays or supply risks.
Manage landed cost calculations and import-related reporting.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Procurement, Warehouse, and Logistics teams.
Provide supply chain insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
Communicate inventory risks, supply constraints, and forecast changes to stakeholders.
Support new product launches, promotional planning, and portfolio expansion initiatives.
Reporting & Analytics
Develop and maintain dashboards for forecasting, inventory, and supply chain KPIs.
Analyze key performance indicators including:
Forecast Accuracy
Service Levels
Inventory Turns
Fill Rate
Stock-Out Percentage
Inventory Ageing
Import Lead-Time Adherence
Present supply chain performance reports to senior management.

Education
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Commerce, Engineering, or related field.
MBA / PGDM in Supply Chain Management or Operations preferred.

Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in Demand Planning and Supply Chain Management.
Proven experience in forecasting, inventory planning, and replenishment.
Hands-on experience managing import operations and international supply chains.
Experience in FMCG, Beauty, Personal Care, Consumer Goods, Retail, Distribution, or E-commerce industries preferred.

Technical Skills
Advanced Microsoft Excel
ERP Systems (Microsoft Dynamics, Navision/ Business Central)
Power BI or similar reporting tools preferred
Data Analysis and Reporting

Location:

Worli, Mumbai (Next to Acharya Atre Chowk Metro Station, Aqua Line)
Working Days:  5 Days a Week + 1 Working Saturday (3rd Saturday of Every Month)
