Purpose of your Role

- Tata Communications is on a journey to become a true digital infrastructure enabler in the market with the extensive portfolio of services across connectivity, collaboration, cloud, security, and mobility.
- Tata Communications operates across key geographies globally with specific focus on India, APAC, Europe, North Americas, and Middle East.
- We are seeking a seasoned and strategic leader to head Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Capability Development initiatives, driving the integration of business objectives with sustainable social impact. This role will be responsible for designing and executing high-impact, scalable programs across key focus areas such as education, livelihoods, environment, and inclusion.
- The incumbent will play a critical role in shaping the organization’s social impact strategy, building partnerships, and establishing robust frameworks for impact measurement and governance.

You will be accountable for (Key Responsibilities)

Strategy & Vision

- Define and lead the organization’s CSR and capability development strategy aligned with overall business priorities
- Translate strategic goals into actionable roadmaps, scalable programs, and measurable outcomes
- Identify emerging trends and opportunities in the CSR and social impact ecosystem

Program Design & Execution

- Design, implement, and scale high-impact CSR initiatives across multiple domains (education, livelihoods, environment, inclusion)
- Ensure programs are outcome-driven, sustainable, and aligned with regulatory requirements
- Drive innovation by incorporating behavioral science, digital, and data-led approaches

Stakeholder & Ecosystem Partnerships

- Build and manage strategic partnerships with NGOs, government bodies, multilateral agencies, and community organizations
- Represent the organization in external forums, industry groups, and CSR platforms
- Foster cross-functional collaboration internally to embed CSR within business operations

Impact Measurement & Governance, CSR financial manangement

- Develop robust frameworks for monitoring, evaluation, and impact assessment both project management and financial management
- Ensure transparency, compliance, and governance in all CSR initiatives
- Leverage data and insights to continuously improve program effectiveness

Inclusion & Social Equity Focus

- Drive initiatives that promote inclusion, especially for women, youth, and underserved communities
- Strengthen programs that enhance digital and financial access

Leadership & Team Development

- Build and lead a high-performing CSR and capability development team
- Develop internal capability frameworks and leadership pipelines in the social impact space
- Champion a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability

Qualification & Experience

- ~15–20 years of experience in CSR, social impact, sustainability, or development sector
- Proven leadership experience in heading CSR or large-scale social programs at a corporate or institutional level
