Function Overview

The GIC Supply Chain team manages end-to-end operations, encompassing planning, sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, and analytics. They strategically plan to meet market demands, optimize sourcing, ensure efficient production, and oversee the seamless movement of goods from production to delivery. The team employs advanced analytics throughout these processes, fostering adaptability and operational excellence. This collaborative approach ensures a well-coordinated supply chain that aligns with both organizational goals and dynamic market conditions.

Purpose of the role

The Planner demonstrates strong technical knowledge in maintenance crafts, equipment function, manufacturing requirements, CMMS, and project management. The Planner contributes to the business objectives of optimizing equipment availability and Maintenance department productivity by ensuring work is performed efficiently and effectively.

Key Accountabilities

100% of Time :
Maintenance Planning and Scheduling

Leads the planning and scheduling process across a high-volume or technically complex site with multiple production lines or processes.
Ensures full alignment between Work Order management, spare parts strategy, and maintenance execution, leveraging data-driven decision-making.
Supports the site's Planning & Scheduling function with responsibility for planning KPIs, planning compliance, and continuous maturity of the MPS process.
Plans parts, tools and labor for all maintenance work order types including human safety, food safety, corrective maintenance, and preventative maintenance (PM)
Collaborates with Line Teams, Storeroom, Maintenance, and Engineering to prioritize and schedule work via Maximo/ Offline
Leads analysis of breakdown history, PM effectiveness, and maintenance trends to inform updates to the plant's Equipment Care Strategy.
Coaches technicians on effective CMMS use and maintenance data quality. Executes continuous improvement of job plans through actual vs. scheduled labor and parts
Leads integration of digital tools, analytics dashboards, and automated reporting into the planning process.
Identifies labor efficiencies and cost saving opportunities via processes such as job plan sequencing and PM standardization
Partners with Purchasing and the Storeroom to ensure spare part information is accurate
Collaborate with plant and corporate engineering teams to establish best practices for equipment maintenance
