Our client is a leading pharmaceutical company headquartered in North India. With 5 WHO-GMP-certified manufacturing facilities, the company manufactures more than 1,000 pharmaceutical, Ayurvedic, and cosmetic products. Their products are distributed across India and exported to over 55 countries globally.
Job Purpose
The Plant Head will be responsible for overseeing overall plant operations, ensuring efficient production planning, regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and smooth execution of commercial manufacturing activities. The role requires strong leadership capabilities and in-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing operations.
Key esponsibilities
Lead and manage overall plant production and operational planning.
Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain audit readiness at all times.
Drive adherence to WHO-GMP and international regulatory standards.
Oversee quality systems, SOP implementation, and documentation control.
Ensure smooth execution of commercial manufacturing activities.
Drive productivity enhancement and operational excellence initiatives.
Lead cross-functional coordination across Production, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Regulatory functions.
Build and mentor high-performing teams while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Monitor operational KPIs and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and plant performance.
Educational Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
Experience
Minimum 15 years of overall experience in plant operations within the pharmaceutical industry.
At least 10 years of experience in Plant Head or similar leadership roles in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Experience handling African Markets and ROW (Rest of World) Markets will be an added advantage.
Strong understanding of WHO-GMP and international regulatory requirements.
Proven experience in managing audits, compliance, and quality systems.
