Role Overview   We are seeking an experienced and dynamic   Plant Head   to lead end-to-end manufacturing operations at our Tarapur production facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing production, process optimization, quality, maintenance, safety, and plant administration while ensuring operational excellence, cost efficiency, and timely delivery of customer commitments. This leadership role is ideal for a manufacturing professional with strong experience in the specialty chemicals, polymers, or synthetic resins industry.

Key Responsibilities  Plant Operations    Lead and manage overall manufacturing operations to achieve production targets while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency.
Develop production plans in coordination with Planning, Purchase, and Supply Chain teams.
Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, and plant resources.
Production Management    Monitor daily production activities and drive continuous improvement in productivity and operational performance.
Optimize manufacturing processes to improve yield, reduce wastage, and enhance overall equipment efficiency.
Ensure timely execution of production schedules while meeting customer delivery commitments.
Quality & Process Excellence    Work closely with the Quality Control and R&D teams to maintain product consistency and process reliability.
Drive initiatives focused on process optimization, cost reduction, and operational excellence.
Ensure compliance with ISO quality systems and internal quality standards.
Safety, Compliance & Maintenance    Ensure strict adherence to EHS policies, statutory regulations, and industry best practices.
Lead preventive and predictive maintenance initiatives to maximize equipment uptime.
Support internal audits, statutory inspections, and regulatory compliance activities.
Cross-Functional Coordination    Collaborate with Procurement, Stores, Logistics, Quality, and Sales teams to ensure seamless plant operations.
Resolve production bottlenecks and proactively address operational challenges.
Provide regular MIS reports and performance updates to senior management.
Leadership & Team Development    Lead, mentor, and develop plant personnel to build a high-performance culture.
Foster employee engagement, discipline, accountability, and continuous learning.
Establish KPIs and monitor departmental performance to achieve operational objectives.

Requirement
Education
M.Sc. /

B.Sc. in Chemistry (Minimum Qualification)
Experience
Minimum 10 years in Production / Manufacturing Operations, including leadership experience
Industry
Experience in Specialty Chemicals, Polymers, Synthetic Resins, Paints, Coatings, or related Process Manufacturing industries preferred
Core Knowledge
Plant Operations, Production Planning, Process Optimization, Quality Systems, EHS Compliance, Maintenance, Cost Control
Leadership
Proven experience leading manufacturing teams and driving operational excellence
Location
Candidates residing in Western Suburbs of Mumbai preferred
Languages
Proficient in English and Hindi / Marathi
Skills
Strong leadership, analytical thinking, problem-solving, production planning, decision-making, ERP proficiency, and excellent stakeholder management
