Research Operations- Analyst

Join us as a 'Research Operations - Analyst' at Barclays, where the candidate will provide operational support for maintaining MIFID II research entitlement packages and provide operational support for the provision of mandated conflict of interest disclosures for Research. The Research Operations team is located in London, New York and Mumbai and provides global coverage. The Research Operations team is involved in many research projects, business testing of our authoring and distribution systems as well as centrally managing all research related employee and client entitlements.

To be successful as a Research Operations - Analyst, you should have experience to:

Handling different types of queries in mailbox from various teams and responding to them in timely manner.
Manage the process to ensure correct and timely flow of disclosures to issuers in the disclosure database.
Create and review data reconciliation and monitoring reports to identify exceptions and follow up as necessary with Research Production and Compliance teams.
Work with IT to specify requirements for enhancement of applications and thoroughly test them- validating both the functionality and data quality.
Setting up research packages and maintaining them to support the MiFID II regulation.
Processing requests from Research Sales team for specific research packages/services that clients have purchased from Barclays.
Work closely with Research Sales team to understand their requirements on setting up research packages for clients.
Manage all entitlement support issues including third party vendor entitlement and queries relating to MiFID II.
Manage access and subscription of research for clients.
Appropriately escalate concerns to Research Operations management in a timely manner.
Ensure that all operational processes are clearly and accurately documented, as processes are added, enhanced and revised.
Gather and analyze data from multiple sources and present information meaningfully so that it helps management in decision making and build a robust control environment.

This role will be based out of Nirlon Knowledge Park, Mumbai.

Purpose of the role

To produce and deliver Research with differentiated market insights and actionable ideas to Barclays Clients.

Accountabilities

Analysis of market, sector, corporate and/or economic data to help develop investment theses for your coverage universe to produce best in class Research.
Research may range from individual company or sector notes, through to long dated thematic reports.
Presentation of Research views to Barclays Clients; this can be through direct, face to face and virtual interactions, Research hosted events and written communications.
