Role: Intern – Research Archive (Library Science)

About the Role
We are looking for an intern from a Library & Information Science (LIS) background to support a Research Archive Project focused on organising and digitising decades of research, though leadership content and articles.
This role is ideal for candidates interested in cataloguing, knowledge management, and digital archiving.
Key Responsibilities
Locate and compile research documents from various internal sources
Extract, structure, and record metadata (title, author, keywords, year, etc.)
Create and maintain a clean and structured catalogue in Excel
Organise, classify, and rename digital files using a standard naming system
Identify gaps, duplicates, or inconsistencies in the archive
Perform quality checks to maintain data accuracy and uniformity
Prepare a final summary of completed work and pending gaps
Eligibility
Students currently pursuing:
Library & Information Science (UG or PG)
Candidates with exposure to economics or research content will be preferred
Skills Required
Essential:
Proficiency in MS Excel for data organisation
Understanding of cataloguing, classification, and metadata principles
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Comfortable working with digital documents (PDF/Word)
Good written communication skills
Ability to manage tasks independently
Good to Have:
Exposure to digital archiving or library systems
Familiarity with document management tools
Experience with reference management tools (Zotero, Mendeley)
Interest in economics and policy research
