Chemist - Proximate

Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain  GC-FID  and other laboratory instruments for analysis
Perform  proximate analysis  and test  UV parameters
Analyze  fatty acid profiles  in various food matrices
Manage  sample preparation , handling, and storage before and after analysis
Maintain and update  Certified Reference Materials (CRM)
Conduct  method verification and validation  as per regulatory and internal standards
Prepare and maintain  Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Accurately  interpret, analyze, and report  test results
Ensure compliance with laboratory  quality and safety protocols
Maintain detailed records of all test activities, calibrations, and observations

Qualifications:

B.Sc / M.Sc in Chemistry  or related field
3–4 years of hands-on experience  in a  food testing laboratory
Proficiency in  proximate analysis, water analysis, allergen analysis , and use of  general instruments
Familiarity with  method validation  and use of  CRMs  in testing procedures

Ability to work  independently  and manage multiple tasks effectively
Comfortable with reading and writing in  English and local language
Quick and decisive  in laboratory decision-making
Proficient in  Microsoft Office  tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
