Role :
Principal Scientist - Synthetic Chemistry (Agrochemicals, Pharma API & Aroma Chemicals)
Role Overview
Scimplify is looking for a seasoned R&D leader to head the Synthetic chemistry function. The role will drive process development, scale-up and innovation across Agrochemicals, Pharma APIs and Aroma Chemicals.
Key Responsibilities
Lead process R&D and synthetic route development for specialty and fine chemicals.
Design and optimize cost-efficient, scalable chemical processes.
Drive technology transfer from lab to pilot and commercial scale.
Lead innovation in Agrochemical intermediates, APIs, and aroma molecules.
Collaborate with global clients and internal commercial teams to develop custom molecules.
Build and mentor a high-performing R&D team.
Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
Work closely with manufacturing teams for process scale-up and commercialization
Qualifications
PhD / M.Tech / MSc in Organic Chemistry or Synthetic Chemistry.
Global/MNC experience in Process R&D is strongly preferred.
Minimum 10+ years of experience leading R&D teams.
Strong experience in route scouting, impurity profiling, and scale-up chemistry.
