Job Summary :
The role involves field-based consumer research, sensory testing, customer feedback collection, and on-ground execution of studies across retail outlets and external venues. This role is highly operational and execution-focused, requiring strong skills in consumer research, survey administration, field data collection, and stakeholder coordination in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Consumer Product Testing & Fieldwork
- Coordinate and execute in-store and external consumer product testing sessions
- Recruit and interact with consumers for surveys and taste tests
- Ensure smooth execution of coffee, bakery, dessert and beverage testing sessions
- Manage tasting setup including samples, questionnaires, coding, sequencing and respondent flow
- Support moderation and administration of consumer surveys
- Ensure quality and completeness of collected responses
Operational Coordination
- Liaise with store teams, kitchen teams and internal stakeholders for testing requirements
- Coordinate logistics for products, materials and testing assets across locations
- Track sample counts, respondent quotas and testing schedules
- Maintain testing hygiene, consistency and execution standards during sessions
Data & Reporting Support
- Organize survey data and consumer feedback
- Support basic analysis of responses and thematic coding of open-ended feedback
- Create summary reports and observations from product tests
- Maintain trackers and documentation across studies
Key
Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable approaching and interacting with consumers in-store
- High level of ownership and reliability
- Willingness to travel locally across stores and venues as required
- Ability to work on-ground for extended periods during testing days
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail and food environment
- Strong attention to detail and operational discipline
- Interest in consumer behaviour, food, beverages and brand research
Preferred Background
- Undergraduate or postgraduate student in Marketing, Psychology, Business, Media, Hospitality or related fields
- Prior internship or fieldwork experience is a plus, but not mandatory
Important to Know
- Product testing is a continuous and high-frequency activity within the organization
- The role involves significant groundwork and execution responsibility on a regular basis
- Candidates should be comfortable with hands-on coordination, store visits and operational problem-solving as part of daily work
- Hands-on exposure to real-world consumer research in a leading bakery brand
- Experience in product testing, sensory research and customer insights
- Opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams across marketing, product and operations
- End-to-end ownership experience in live research projects
Salary: 4.00 LPA to 5.00 LPA
