Role Description
This is a volunteer and remote role for a Social Worker. The Social Worker will support communities by addressing social challenges and providing resources to ensure the well-being of individuals and families. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing care plans, providing counseling, connecting individuals to support services, and advocating for client rights. The Social Worker will work collaboratively with teams to address key social issues and make a positive impact on the lives of those in need.
Qualifications
Strong interpersonal skills, active listening abilities, and empathy to build rapport with diverse individuals and communities.
Problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities to evaluate situations and implement effective solutions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively articulate strategies and advocate for clients.
Knowledge of social service systems, counseling techniques, and family dynamics is essential.
Experience in community outreach, advocacy, or case management is beneficial.
Organizational skills and ability to work independently while managing multiple cases remotely.
Relevant educational background such as a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or a similar field.
Previous experience in volunteering or working with underprivileged communities is a plus.
