Working 6 days (2nd & 4th sat off)
Education
Qualifications:
Graduate in any stream And a Diploma or Degree in relevant fields like Supply Chain Management, Logistics , Inventory Management and Procurement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Procurement & Purchasing
- Identify, evaluate and select suppliers for raw materials, components and services.
- Obtain quotations, perform cost comparisons and negotiate prices, payment terms and delivery schedules.
- Issue purchase orders (POs) and follow up for timely delivery.
- Maintain and update procurement records, contracts and price agreements.
- Support strategic sourcing initiatives and cost-saving projects.
2. Logistics Management
- Plan and manage inbound and outbound logistics, including transportation, freight forwarding and shipment tracking.
- Coordinate with transporters, freight agents and logistics partners for timely dispatch & delivery.
- Handle domestic and international logistics, including documentation (LR, e-way bills, invoice, packing list, etc.).
- Optimize logistics processes to reduce transit time and transportation cost.
- Ensure compliance with customs, GST, regulatory and safety requirements.
- Resolve logistics issues including delays, damages and discrepancies.
3. Vendor Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, transporters and service providers.
- Conduct vendor performance evaluation based on quality, delivery and service.
- Resolve supplier issues and coordinate for quality improvements and faster deliveries.
- Identify new suppliers to support business expansion and reduce dependency.
4. Inventory & Material Management
- Monitor stock levels, consumption patterns and reorder points.
- Coordinate with stores and other teams for forecasting and material planning.
- Maintain optimum inventory levels to avoid material shortages or over-stocking.
- Reconcile GRN (Goods Receipt Notes), purchase invoices and stock discrepancies.
5. Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly procurement and logistics MIS reports.
- Maintain accurate records of PO status, shipments, vendor ratings and inventory movement.
- Ensure proper documentation for audits and internal compliance.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of logistics operations - transportation, freight management & warehouse coordination.
- Good negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Understanding of supply chain processes, procurement cycles, and inventory control.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP/Tally systems.
- Ability to multitask and work under time sensitive conditions.
Working Conditions:
- Office-based with occasional visits to suppliers or warehouses.
- Occasional overtime, evening or weekend shifts may be required based on operational needs during peak purchasing periods.
