Role Objective
To manage day-to-day logistics operations across D2C, e-commerce, quick commerce, retail, and institutional channels, ensuring timely dispatches, cost control, delivery performance, and smooth coordination between warehouse, courier partners, marketplaces, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Dispatch & Order Fulfilment
Ensure timely processing, packing, dispatch, and handover of orders.
Monitor daily order flow across Shopify, marketplaces, quick commerce, retail, and B2B channels.
Coordinate with warehouse and packing teams to avoid dispatch delays.
Track pending, breached, and priority orders daily.
2. Courier & Delivery Management
Manage courier partners for pickup, delivery, COD, RTO, NDR, and reverse logistics.
Monitor delivery TAT, pickup performance, RTO percentage, and failed deliveries.
Resolve delivery escalations with courier partners and internal customer service teams.
Maintain courier-wise performance reports.
3. Cost & Reconciliation Control
Track freight costs, COD charges, RTO costs, weight discrepancies, and courier billing.
Verify courier invoices and highlight incorrect charges.
Work towards reducing logistics cost per order.
Maintain proper reconciliation of courier claims, damages, shortages, and lost shipments.
4. Inventory & Stock Movement
Coordinate stock transfers between warehouse, marketplaces, retail stores, and quick commerce dark stores.
Ensure correct documentation for stock movement, delivery challans, invoices, and E-way bills where required.
Track inward, outward, returns, and damaged stock movement.
5. MIS & Reporting
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly logistics reports.
Track KPIs such as dispatch TAT, delivery TAT, RTO %, NDR %, courier cost, pending orders, and returns.
Share exception reports with clear action points.
6. Process Improvement
Identify gaps in logistics operations and improve SOPs.
Support automation of logistics tracking, courier allocation, and reporting.
Improve coordination between warehouse, customer service, finance, sales, and marketplace teams.
3. Required Skills
Strong knowledge of logistics, courier operations, e-commerce fulfilment, and reverse logistics.
Good understanding of marketplace and D2C order processing.
Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills.
Ability to work with courier dashboards, marketplace portals, Shopify, WMS, or ERP systems.
Good follow-up, problem-solving, and vendor coordination skills.
Cost-conscious and process-driven mindset.
4. Experience & Qualification
Graduate in any discipline; supply chain/logistics qualification preferred.
3–6 years of experience in logistics, e-commerce operations, warehouse coordination, or supply chain.
Experience in beauty, FMCG, D2C, or marketplace-led brands will be preferred.
5. Key Performance Indicators
Same-day / next-day dispatch percentage.
Delivery TAT improvement.
Reduction in RTO and NDR cases.
Courier cost per order.
Reduction in weight discrepancy and billing errors.
Accuracy in stock movement and logistics documentation.
Timely reporting and issue resolution.
