About the Role:
We are looking for a Logistics Executive – Container Transport to manage trailer placement, transporter coordination, and container movement across Mumbai and surrounding regions.
The ideal candidate should have strong relationships with transporters, experience in container logistics, and the ability to arrange vehicles within short timelines while ensuring smooth dispatch operations. This is a field-oriented role requiring proactive coordination with transporters, depot teams, and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Transport Planning & Vehicle Placement:
• Arrange suitable trailers and transport vehicles immediately after receiving dispatch requirements.
• Coordinate trailer placement for 20ft and 40ft containers, blast freezers, super freezers, and other equipment.
• Ensure vehicle availability within committed timelines.
• Negotiate transportation rates and confirm vehicle availability.
• Maintain strong relationships with transporters and fleet owners.
Dispatch & Movement Coordination:
• Coordinate with depot teams for timely loading and dispatch.
• Track vehicles from dispatch until customer delivery.
• Follow up directly with transporters and drivers to prevent delays.
• Handle urgent dispatch requirements and last-minute transportation arrangements.
• Coordinate container movement from JNPT/Nhava Sheva whenever required.
Vendor Management:
• Develop and maintain an active transporter network across Mumbai and nearby regions.
• Coordinate with transport vendors for vehicle availability and pricing.
• Monitor transporter performance and service quality.
• Process transporter documentation and invoice follow-ups.
Documentation & Reporting:
• Maintain live dispatch registers for every movement.
• Record vehicle details, driver information, departure time, ETA, and delivery status.
• Prepare daily logistics reports and movement trackers.
• Ensure all dispatch documentation is complete before vehicle movement.
Required Qualifications:
• Graduate in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, or any related discipline.
Experience Requirements:
• 2–4 years of experience in container transport, logistics coordination, trailer placement, or transportation operations.
• Experience working with transporters, fleet owners, or container logistics companies is preferred.
