Role
Summary:
Executive – Warehousing & Transportation is responsible for managing day-to-day warehouse and transportation operations while ensuring timely and cost-effective movement of goods. The role focuses on transportation planning, freight cost optimization, and monitoring operational performance to improve efficiency and service levels.
The executive will work closely with warehouse teams, transport partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and compliance with company policies and procedures.
Roles & Responsibilities
Analyze transportation costs, freight spend, and logistics performance to identify cost optimization opportunities and improve operational efficiency. – Major responsibility
Drive transportation cost control initiatives through route optimization, vehicle utilization, carrier performance analysis, and process improvements while maintaining agreed service levels.

Monitor key transportation KPIs and prepare MIS reports, dashboards, and analytical insights to support data-driven decision-making.

Plan and deploy vehicles as per dispatch and delivery requirements to ensure optimum resource utilization.
Monitor vehicle placement and ensure on-time dispatch of shipments as per committed schedules.
Track shipments proactively and provide timely status updates to internal and external stakeholders.
Coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure timely loading, unloading, and seamless dispatch operations.
Resolve transportation and delivery-related issues, including customer complaints, in a timely and professional manner.
Investigate transportation delays, freight variances, damages, shortages, and operational exceptions, and recommend corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with company policies, transportation regulations, operational procedures, and statutory requirements.
Ensure safe storage, material handling, and housekeeping standards within the warehouse to support efficient logistics operations.
