Jackson Hewitt is seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented Back Office Tax Professional to join our team. This position is ideal for someone with extensive tax preparation knowledge who thrives in a fast-paced environment and prefers working behind the scenes to support multiple tax office locations.

• Prepare, review, and finalize federal and state individual income tax returns.
• Review returns for accuracy, completeness, and IRS compliance.
• Research and resolve complex tax situations and filing issues.
• Provide technical tax support and guidance to tax preparers across multiple office locations.
• Identify and correct errors, rejected returns, and documentation issues.
• Assist with amended returns, prior-year returns, and IRS correspondence.
• Monitor workflow and help ensure timely completion of tax returns.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and protect sensitive client information.

• Minimum of 5 years of professional tax preparation experience - REQUIRED.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state income tax regulations.
• Experience preparing and reviewing complex individual tax returns.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently while supporting a larger team.
• Strong computer skills and experience using professional tax preparation software.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines during peak tax season.
• PTIN required.

• Previous experience with Jackson Hewitt tax software.
• Experience reviewing returns prepared by other tax professionals.
• Enrolled Agent (EA) or CPA designation.
• Experience supporting multiple tax office locations.
