Position: Hospitalist - Established Program, Open ICU with strong intensivist support, specialist support

Overview

IU Health is hiring! Join our compassionate Hospitalist team at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, IN.

Opportunity Details:

  • Full-Time, Days, 7 am-7 pm; 7 on/7 off
  • 100% inpatient
  • On call schedule duties rotate amongst team
  • Patient volume: approximately 15-16 per day
  • Nocturnist coverage in place
  • Procedures not mandatory, but opportunity if desired; IM residents run codes, rapids
  • Open ICU with strong intensivist support
  • Teaching opportunities with medical students and residents

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take calls from units and new admissions from emergency department or as direct admit
  • Average admissions: two per day with advanced provider assistance
  • Perform direct patient care with strong subspecialist support
  • Services include hospital admissions, consultations, and cross coverage

Qualifications:

  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine (ABIM/ABFM)
  • Physician licensed in Indiana or eligible for medical licensure in Indiana
  • Visa sponsorship available; H-1B
  • New grads and experienced physician candidates encouraged to apply
