Podiatric Physician
Location:
Muncie, Indiana. This full‑time role involves providing foot and ankle care in a clinic setting. Staff membership at the hospital will be required.
- Assess patients with lower extremity complaints, review medical history and perform physical examinations.
- Order appropriate imaging or medical labs and develop/implement clinical plans of care.
- Provide comprehensive podiatric care, including at‑risk foot care, painful conditions, trauma, wound care, and surgical management when appropriate.
- Educate patients and families on foot care, general wellness, medication use, side effects, adherence, and prevention.
- Maintain patient medical records and documentation in compliance with state regulations and company policy.
- Participate in continuing education required by the state Board of Podiatric Medicine.
- Prescribe medication as permitted by the state Board.
- Perform other related duties as necessary.
- Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) with appropriate certification and licensure is required.
- Active DPM license preferred or ability to obtain within applicable timeframe.
- Strong compassion for patients and families.
- DEA registration or eligibility required.
- CPR certification expected and consistent with state Board requirements.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
