Position Title: Assistant Lecturer/Assistant Teaching Professor of Mathematical Sciences

The Department of Mathematical Sciences has a full-time contract faculty position as Assistant Lecturer or Assistant Teaching Professor of Mathematical Science beginning January 5, 2026.
Evidence of high-quality teaching, continuing professional development, and significant service are necessary to be eligible for reappointment. Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
What you ll do and what you will bring- Teach approximately 12 hours per term of mathematics courses which may include quantitative reasoning, precalculus, calculus, introductory statistics, and more advanced courses, depending on Department needs and applicant qualifications.
- Pursue a program of professional development and perform service activities for the Department.
- Master’s degree in a mathematical science or closely related field from an accredited institution by date of appointment, with at least 18 graduate semester hours of coursework in mathematics
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Commitment to excellence in teaching as demonstrated by a teaching statement and/or teaching evaluations.
- Teaching experience at the college level in undergraduate classes.
- Master’s degree in mathematics, statistics, or data science by date of appointment.
- Doctorate degree in mathematics, statistics, or data science. Experience or interest teaching online.
