AWS & CDL Program Coordinator

Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the on-site AWS (American Welding Society) testing facility and CDL programs in cooperation with the Workforce/Career Link department. This position will help with scheduling, equipment upkeep, and recruiting for both programs.

Duties And Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

American Welding Society Testing Facility

• Responsible for maintaining and calibrating of equipment used in the testing facility to ensure it meets AWS standards.
• Obtain and inspect materials to ensure they meet industry specifications.
• Maintain a relationship with industry partners to assist in recruiting candidates for certifications and/or welding program.
• Manage schedule for testing and be available as a resource to industry partners to help facilities practice times for AWS testing prep.

CDL Program

• Collaborate with lead CDL instructor to ensure efficient delivery of training to students.
• Assist in recruitment for program, in coordination with the Workforce team.
• Ensure that all Dept. of Transportation and Ivy Tech requirements are met and documented prior to students starting drive times.
• Associates degree in a technical field.
• Chosen candidate must possess, or be willing to earn, CDL-A and AWS CWI certifications.
