Classroom Aide - Part Time - Medical or Dental Assistants

Part Time - Classroom Aide - Medical or Dental Assistants - Mornings & Evenings Available

The Classroom Aide assists Primary or Secondary Instructors in the classroom and supports students through tutoring in individual and group sessions. Aides may also proctor exams. The role reports directly to the Associate Director and collaborates with Full-Time Instructors and faculty.

The aide does not deliver primary instruction or proficiency assessments but supports tutoring and remediation.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist with classroom technology and computers
  • Prepare labs and classroom materials as directed
  • Support hands-on classroom activities
  • Perform other non-teaching duties as assigned
Additional Responsibilities
  • Provide scheduled tutoring to students
  • Restock and clean classroom spaces
  • Assist with orientation preparations and tasks
  • Proctor exams following established guidelines

All work is to be performed on campus.

Requirements
  • Graduate from a Ross Medical Education Center program (Medical, Dental, or Veterinary Assistant)
  • For external graduates: 1+ years of relevant work experience
  • National certification (RMA, CMA, CCMA, CMAA, NCMA for Medical Assistants or CDA, RDA for Dental Assistants) is a plus
  • Ability to move around the building and classroom to support students; reasonable accommodations available for disabilities
  • Sufficient visual and auditory abilities to operate equipment and communicate effectively
  • Knowledge of relevant curriculum and materials
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with technology (Microsoft Office, Campus Vue)
  • Ability to obtain or maintain necessary credentials/licensure
  • Professional demeanor and conduct
  • Objectivity and fairness toward students
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Adherence to Ross Code of Conduct and Ethics
