Responsibilities
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the CPI Process as the CPI Project Leader
  • Identify and execute the data analytics required in the Find-It (problem identification) or Fix-It (root cause and corrective action) phases of the CPI process
  • Support CPI with a customer-focused mindset and urgency; ensure projects meet major milestones and improvements resolve the issue
  • Provide project updates during internal operating reviews and customer reviews
  • Coach and train people in the use of the CPI process and tools
  • Support CPI process and tool improvements
  • Understand and champion all CPI performance metrics
  • Coordinate CPI community communications
  • Travel as required

Education / Training
  • Engineering or Technical degree with a focus on design, product support, quality improvements, or supply chain
Qualifications And ExperienceRequired:
  • Engineering or Technical degree with a focus on design, product support, quality improvements, or supply chain
  • At least 10 years of experience in Product Support, Product/Process Design & Development, or Product/Process Validation, Quality, Operations, or Supply Chain responsibilities
  • Deep CPI tool and process knowledge
  • Minimum of 5 years working problems/issues across the product lifecycle: VOC, design/development, manufacture, inspection/test, validation, field support planning and publications
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to process large data sets and apply statistical methodologies
  • Experience in a large global organization across multiple disciplines and product lines
  • Experience with problem-solving methodologies including Six Sigma, Shainin, Ishikawa diagrams, 5 Whys, 8-D, etc.
  • Ability to influence across the business and work in a diverse, matrix environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Exceptional project management skills
  • Ability to manage risk and ambiguity on a project; results-oriented change agent
  • Ability to travel as required
Preferred:
  • Recognized expert in CAT CPI methodologies/process
  • Experience with reliability engineering concepts and techniques
  • Experience coordinating process and tool enhancement projects
  • 6 Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt Project Lead
  • Shainin Red X certification (preferred)
Essential And Physical Activities Functions
  • Strength – lifting up to 50 lbs; ability to work in tight or confined spaces
  • Motion – standing/walking most of the day; frequent climbing, squatting, kneeling
  • Vision/Hearing – exposure to noise, vibration; PPE required; read diagrams and instructions
  • Work Environment – indoor/outdoor; temperature extremes; exposure to oils and other substances

Summary Pay Range: $99,498.00 to $
