Mortgage Banker

First Merchants Bank is seeking a Mortgage Banker to join our team! This position is responsible for handling prospective customer and existing client mortgage needs, including initial consultation, gathering and reviewing financial information, and inputting files into our Mortgage Loan Origination System. The Mortgage Banker will discuss clients' needs, recommend the best loan products, assist in assembling complete loan packages, and collaborate with the underwriting team throughout the loan process.

Use professional judgment to identify good risk opportunities for the organization.

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• At least two (2) years of experience self-sourcing leads in a financial services environment.
• Ability to travel within the assigned region.
