Position Overview

The BCBA will provide support to individuals and their families and/or school teams by coordinating and providing services in Applied Behavior Analysis, function analyses and assessment, behavior acquisition and reduction procedures, and adaptive life skills.

Essential Job Functions
  • Conduct comprehensive Functional Skills Assessments, Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) and develop Skill Acquisition Plans (SAP) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP), in collaboration with caregivers and/or school staff and administrators, and/or other service providers.
  • Develop consultation relationships with district special and general education service providers where applicable.
  • Train, direct, and monitor caregivers and/or the work of teachers and staff assigned to work with students with behavioral challenges.
  • Support and promote fidelity of implementation of evidence‑based intervention strategies and programs for students.
  • Conduct observations of students in a variety of settings.
  • Analyze student’s behavior from a functional perspective, identify behavior skill deficits, and develop a strategic plan to teach appropriate replacement behavior(s).
  • Provide evidence‑based behavior strategy recommendations and train caregivers, staff and/or administrators in implementing behavioral interventions.
  • Develop data collection methods and train staff and/or caregivers to utilize.
  • Use collected data to monitor present levels and make adjustments to behavior strategy recommendations and/or treatment plan.
  • Supervise RBTs to support treatment fidelity, providing ongoing training, and maintaining credentialing.
  • Collaborate with a variety of service providers and agencies within the school and/or in the community to most effectively address student’s therapeutic needs.
  • Research and promote evidence‑based behavior analytic strategies, approaches, resources, and curriculum.
  • Provide positive behavior support presentations, training, and/or professional development.
  • Participate in meetings, including Individual Educational Plan (IEP) meetings, 504 meetings, Multidisciplinary Teams (MTSS) meetings, student‑related staffings, and manifest determination meetings.
  • Participate in professional learning activities related to research based behavioral interventions, as well as other relevant professional learning opportunities, to further develop knowledge and skills.
  • Communicate with parents regarding behavior needs of students.
  • Track and document required information for insurance reimbursement.
  • Ethically maintain HIPAA requirements, professional records, and documentation.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in Special Education, Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, or Applied Behavior Analysis or related field.
  • 1–2 Years experience providing behavioral support services in the natural setting.
  • BCBA Certification.
Salary and Benefits
