AMG Specialty Hospital – Central Indiana Muncie Campus is located in the heart of Muncie, IN on the 5th floor of IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.

The Director of Quality / Infection Control is a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) with knowledge of CDC guidelines and definitions of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs). The role requires travel between Muncie and Greenfield.

• Identify, investigate, report, prevent and control HAIs among patients and personnel.
• Institute collection of cultures and isolation precautions as authorized by the Infection Control Committee.
• Assist with in‑service programs related to infection prevention and control.
• Attend to employee work-related injuries and recommend appropriate actions; communicate with the risk manager.
• Conduct pre-employment medical screening tests and annual recurring screens; act as liaison to the worker’s compensation carrier.
• Develop and implement the hospital’s Utilization Review plan.

• Current Indiana Registered Nurse Licensure required.
• Quality or Infection Control experience preferred.
• Minimum three years in a supervisory position in healthcare or one to three years in infection control.
• Member of the Association of Practitioners of Infection Control and Epidemiology.
• Strong knowledge of microbiology, epidemiology, infectious disease, aseptic techniques, and current practices.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Minimum one year of utilization review experience.
• Minimum two to four years of nursing administration leadership and management experience.
• Effective communication in English, both verbal and written.
• Basic computer knowledge.
