IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital is seeking a dedicated and passionate Injury Prevention Coordinator to lead our efforts in improving trauma care through innovative injury prevention and public education programs.
Position Details- Schedule:
Full-Time, Dayshift, Monday – Friday

As an Injury Prevention Coordinator, you will play a vital role in reducing injuries and enhancing trauma care across Indiana. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing, coordinating, and executing injury prevention initiatives aligned with trauma center needs
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to design and monitor effective injury prevention programs
- Conducting public education efforts to promote injury awareness and safety
- Ensuring compliance with the American College of Surgeons “Resources for Optimal Care of the Injured Patient” standards related to injury prevention
- Overseeing programs such as Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT)
- Requires Bachelor's degree in Nursing OR Masters Degree in Public Health.
- ATS Injury Prevention course required within 1 year of hire.
- Requires two years of program coordination experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- One year of experience within hospital setting and basic knowledge of a trauma patient's care, public health, and/or epidemiology preferred.
- Requires working knowledge on injury prevention legislation activities and state activities.
- Child passenger safety technician/instructor preferred.
