Palletizer Technician

Position Summary

Set up and operate a palletizer machine to maintain good quality of cans produced (within the specified quality and technological parameters).

Ensure smooth operations of production machinery and maintain them in an appropriate technical condition.

• Operate palletizing equipment daily to sort, transfer and stack finished products on pallets for shipment.

• Observe and keep records of any quality issues.

• Supply loading equipment with empty pallets.

• Report any issues with the technical condition of the machine to supervisor.

• Assist with the control of production and quality specification.

• Have responsibility for any assigned equipment.

• Co-operate with supervisor and other workers as part of a team and production line.

• Assist with the implementation and maintenance of systems, including performing internal audits as required.

• Perform any other duty reasonably corresponding with the role.

• Engineering or Technical Degree preferred.

• Previous experience in the manufacturing industry preferred.

• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

• Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy and organization.

• Excellent oral communication skills.

• Ability to function both independently and as part of a team; must be flexible and excited to grow with the organization.

Typical physical requirements for this role include lifting or carrying up to 25-50 lbs occasionally, standing and walking for extended periods, and the ability to use PPE and move through a manufacturing area. Specific activity levels should be interpreted by management to reflect current conditions.

Ability to work in an environment that can become very hot depending on the weather.
