The Licensed Nurse, LPN will be responsible for providing nursing care to patients in the Brookside Care Behavioral Health LTC facility. The LPN will work under the supervision of a registered nurse and will be responsible for administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and providing basic patient care. The LPN will also be responsible for maintaining accurate patient records and communicating with other healthcare professionals as needed.
About the Role
The LPN will be responsible for providing nursing care to patients in the Brookside Care Behavioral Health LTC facility.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
- Monitor and record vital signs
- Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Assist with mobility and transfers
- Document patient care and progress in medical records
- Communicate with other healthcare professionals as needed
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families
- Adhere to all nursing standards and procedures
Qualifications
- Current LPN license in the state of Indiana
- Experience working in a nursing home or long-term care facility
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Basic computer skills
