Delaware County Jail

Full‑Time 6 PM-6 AM + Every Other Weekend

• Assess, plan, and deliver comprehensive healthcare to patients, including:
• Administer medications
• Perform medical intakes and assess patient fitness for incarceration as needed
• Respond to sick call requests and follow up with the medical provider when necessary
• Check and/or change medical dressings as required by the medical provider
• Perform 14‑day physicals
• Manage chronic care
• Provide patient education on health concerns
• Respond to medical emergencies, including life‑saving measures and taking charge in emergency situations
• Maintain a working knowledge of pharmacology, including drug reactions, overdose, formulary/non‑formulary medications, and medication cost
• Provide insight and direction to Medically Trained Personnel as needed
• Comply with all current and future state, federal, and local laws and regulations

• Valid LPN or RN licensure
• Valid CPR certification
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to push, pull, reach, and bend frequently
• Capability to lift up to 50 pounds
