Up to $17.60 per hour.
Full Time starting - $17.10, Part Time starting - $15.10.

Position SummaryA youth support specialist is responsible for meeting the basic needs of all residents placed under their direct care and supervision. The role requires building professional relationships with residents and providing a structure through daily schedules while remaining fair and consistent. In short, a Mentor & Role Model for kids.

- Sexually maladaptive behaviors
- Runaway/Truancy tendencies

- Poor coping skills
Must have a high school diploma or equivalency and be at least 21 years of age.
Fundamental QualificationMust demonstrate awareness of cultural and socioeconomic differences, value nurturing families, commit to empowering clients, establish respectful relationships, provide a supporting role, and intervene appropriately to meet service goals.
Knowledge & Skills Needed- Ability to be consistent, fair, and structured while building relationships.
- Willingness to take on new challenges and be creative.

- Adaptable and flexible in dealing with a variety of people and situations.
- Ability to communicate clearly with a wide range of people including internal and external constituents.

Working ConditionsTypical work week is 40 hours for full‑time staff, 16‑32 hours per week for part‑time staff. Scheduled days and times vary. Position requires additional hours when necessary. The role involves regular contact with supervisors and clinical staff, and direct contact with placing agencies and families via phone and in person. Courtesy and professionalism are expected at all times.
