Overview:

Be a key player in our financial engine! As our Accounts Payable Clerk/HR Support, you'll be the guardian of our company's resources, ensuring smooth and accurate financial transactions while also providing vital HR support. You'll have a direct impact on our bottom line by meticulously monitoring the outflow of capital and keeping our financial house in order. Plus, you'll contribute to a positive employee experience by supporting our HR team.

Pay: $25-$35 HR DOE

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Receives and verifies expense reports; reconciles expense and other financial reports with account balances and other office records.
• Facilitates payment of vendors, which may include verification of federal , reviewing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies.
• Ensures outstanding obligations are credited upon payment, identifies discount opportunities, and issues purchase order amendments or stop-payment orders as needed.
• Assists with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions.
• Records entry of, verifies documentation for, and distributes petty cash.
• Calculates and reports sales tax based on paid invoices.
• Serves as an HR support liaison, assisting with:
• Time and attendance tracking, ensuring accuracy in employee records
• Submitting and approving payroll hours to corporate office for payroll processing.
• Addressing employee benefit questions or directing inquiries to the corporate HR department as needed.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications /

Skills:

• Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs.
• Must be able to learn other accounting software systems.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma required;
  Business or Accounting degree preferred.
• Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP) certification preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
