Overview
As a Park Assistant Manager, you play a key role in overseeing the daily operations of the park, ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and efficient experience for visitors. Your responsibilities include supervising staff, implementing operational procedures, and maintaining high standards of customer service. The Park Assistant Manager acts as the main contact between guests and Kids Empire, ensuring guest satisfaction, resolving complaints, and addressing any questions or comments that guests may have while present at Kids Empire.
Must interact with families and children of all ages.
- Attending to guests as quickly as possible, greeting them and making them feel comfortable in the park ambiance.
- Supervising employees to ensure they perform their duties satisfactorily and achieve production goals.
- Assisting the Park Manager with training, development, and auditing.
- Fostering a positive and collaborative work environment among park staff.
- Auditing schedules and obtaining approval from the Park Manager for required requests.
- Opening and closing the park using keys or a code.
- Communicating any guest or employee issues to the Park Manager.
- Operating the check‑in process, having guests sign the liability waiver and provide guest information via iPad.
- Operating the front cash counter: receiving payments, managing cash flow, handling cash and card transactions, and providing exact change when necessary.
- Verifying billing transactions accurately on the POS.
- Organizing the refrigerator with drinks, snacks, chips, and ice cream.
- Checking snack inventory and ordering supplies from specified vendors as needed.
- Walking the floor regularly to monitor for unsafe hazards and ensure guests follow park rules, regulations, and guidelines.
- Cleaning restrooms and sanitizing all park structures, tables, chairs, playground equipment.
- Scheduling and coordinating family events and assisting events to operate efficiently.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Stand, walk, bend, and twist constantly.
- Perform frequent bilateral hand movements with good finger dexterity.
- Work in noisy environments with children yelling and music.
- Tolerate a hectic and busy work environment during peak hours.
- Work in a tight structure and be comfortable with heights.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification required.
- Work weekends and holidays.
- Able to work with children.
- Operate an iPad.
- Good communication, customer service, and conflict resolution skills.
- Leadership skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to make effective decisions in a fast‑paced environment.
- Prioritize guest satisfaction and continuously improve services.
